We have taken great care to construct a data center that we would want to put our servers in. Sitting atop a 36” raised floor, the data center is housed in a sealed, secured environment. All cabling is neatly run under the floor. Network, power, environmental controls and fire suppression have all been carefully planned to ensure you have a high quality, highly reliable environment to house your servers in.

Controlled Environment

Multiple Liebert air conditioning units maintain an optimal temperature and humidity level within the enclosed data center environment. Hot and cold aisles were designed within the data center to eliminate hot spots. Environmental sensors provide constant data center monitoring and sends alarm notifications if the data center environment gets close to falling outside our parameters. Our properly controlled data center environment promotes server health and longevity.

All packing materials are kept outside the data center and dust within the data center is kept to a minimum.

Fire Suppression

Patrick Solutions uses a cutting-edge data center fire suppression system to ensure your servers are protected in the unlikely event of a fire. Unlike other fire suppression systems that can damage your servers, our system uses a dry particulate that extinguishes the fire without affecting the servers. After venting the particulate, our data center would be back on line very quickly.

This fire suppression system is used in many military and aeronautical applications. Patrick Solutions is the only Ohio data center offering this level of protection.

All hosted servers in our data center are powered through UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) conditioned power. In the event of a utility power outage, Patrick Solutions data center uses a natural gas generator to provide backup power. By using a high-volume natural gas connection, we can run our data center on our generator indefinitely without refueling.

Our data center backup power system is tested and run on a weekly basis. In addition we maintain top- of- the line maintenance agreements with both Cummins and MGE UPS to ensure quick part replacement and 24*7 access to a technician.

Patrick Solutions data center takes the security of our data center very seriously: no one gets in or out without one of our personnel right there beside them. Our Data center is secured with multiple layers of key-card access. No one enters the data center without escort. Server racks within the data center have combination and keyed locks, if your equipment requires additional layers of security. We also have space for cages. All of the Data Center activity is monitored and recorded by a closed circuit security system.

Patrick Solutions data center is multi-homed with 100% fiber optic Ethernet loops. Care was taken to ensure the Ethernet loops were completely independent of each other, including multiple entry points into the building. Our Data Center uses the leading carriers in Columbus, including TW Telecom and XO Communications, providing highly availability and high-capacity internet service. Not only do we have the two leading carries in Columbus, but we also are able to boast that we are one of the few Columbus Ohio Data Center's that has its own private Ethernet loop.

Our data center uses 100% Cisco switching equipment to ensure operational continuity.
