Fibertech is a leader in building and operating fiber optic networks throughout mid-size cities in the Eastern and Central regions of the United States. Fibertech has over 5,700 square feet of Colocation space in twelve different markets. All of our space is Carrier-grade, and has been designed with a strong focus on security and redundancy.

Cooling
Fibertech uses Liebert Cooling systems in our colocation facilities. Liebert system provides precision control of the room environment, including temperature, humidity, filtration and airflow. The flexible Liebert system offers high energy efficiency, user-friendly iCOM controls, modular frame, front service access, and compressor options.
The capacity of each cooling system varies by location, ranging from 3 Ton to 15 Ton systems. All but one colocation facility has at least two (2) Liebert systems for redundancy.

Fire Suppression
Fibertech uses the ADT Fire & Security FM200 systems (or FE-25) for our standard fire suppression system. FM200® (HFC 227ea) is known chemically as Heptafluoropropane and is manufactured by Great Lakes Chemical Corporation. FM200® is a colorless gas which is liquified under pressure for storage.
Equipment
Like Halon 1301 it has a low toxicity level and is super-pressurized with Nitrogen to 24.8bar (360psi). It rapidly extinguishes most commonly found fires through a combination of chemical and physical mechanisms.

Cage
For larger application, Fibertech can provide individualized caging options. Pricing for this option is ICB.

Generator
Fibertech uses a tiered approach for power back-up:
1) Customers will have approximately 24-27 hours of power back-up for sites that haveaninstalledDieselgenerator. The100gallonDieselgeneratorwillrunfor 24-27 hours, assuming a full load of the generator (note – it is unlikely that we will be at full load).
2) After generator back-up, Fibertech has DC battery back-up for approximately eight (8) hours.
3) Fibertech uses disaster recovery plans to provide alternate power sources for extended outages.

Generator Tap
Fibertech uses a tiered approach for power back-up:
1)    At any site that does not have a generator; Fibertech has Generator Taps at the facility. Fibertech will deploy a portable generator within 4 hours of a power outage, while the battery back-up is providing power.    Battery back-up is provided for approximately eight (8) hours. Fibertech uses an Atlas Copco generator (40KW) with a 200 AMP manual transfer switch and 200 AMP receptacle. Fibertech has six (6) portable generators, located strategically around our network.
2) Once a portable generator has arrived, Fibertech can provide approximately 24-27 hours of Diesel power back-up, assuming a full load on the generator (note – it is unlikely that we will be at full load)
3)    Fibertech uses disaster recovery plans to provide alternate power sources for extended outages.
